AGREEMENT

THIS AGREEMENT IS BETWEEN CARTOONEWS, INC. OF NEW YORK, AND THE

WHEREAS THE PUBLICATION DESIRES NON-EXCLUSIVE PRINTING RIGHTS TO LURIE’S WORK, AND CARTOONEWS INC. GRANTS THE PUBLICATION SAID RIGHTS.

TIME: Commencing on _________ , on a yearly basis, the contract shall renew itself automatically on a year to year basis, unless either side sends a signed letter of cancellation with a thirty days termination notice.

MATERIAL: 4 color (OR black & white) cartoons/caricatures, each week. (please circle preference of color or B&W).

PRICE: The publication will pay U.S. $__________ per year/month for the usage of Cartoons, Caricatures, handling, and E-mail delivery, all inclusive. The syndicate will not be obliged to repeat an E-mailing of a cartoon for any reason.

The publication will cease the use of any of Lurie’s work still in its archives, once this agreement is terminated by either side. The client guarantees to publish the cartoons intact and without distorting, graphically or editorially, the cartoon except for the direct and accurate translation from English to the publication’s language.
